Format for 2007-2008
In order to accentuate the "people dynamics" – networking and conversation – of our intellectual gatherings, the Institute for Science has adopted a new format for the Thursday evening events.

Booksigning*: At 6:15 PM in the lobby of the Schnitzer Concert Hall. Meet your friends – or perhaps someone new.
*Oliver Sacks signs books after his lecture.

Entertainment: provocative displays, an intellectually challenging activity (with a prize), book tables, and music.
Meet the speaker.

The Presentation: Starts at 7 PM, lasts about one hour. Q&A will be about 20 minutes.
This portion of the evening ending by 8:30 PM.

The Dinner: VIP dinner at either the Heathman or the Hilton, where the speaker will answer questions for an additional 30 minutes.
The cost of the dinner is separate from the lecture tickets.
Need Help?
If you need help with tickets – as we switch to the new Ticketmaster system – please don't hesitate to call me directly.
